For this activity you will use a spreadsheet to track the weather for 1 week. The Weather Tracking spreadsheet has been completed but you will need to change the high and low temperatures to match the high and low for your city.
  1. Download and open the Weather Tracking file to the right.
  2. Enter your City name in cell A1 so the title of the spreadsheet is "Weather Tracking Austin".
  3. Go to www.weather.com and enter your zip code. Then scroll down the page to see the 10 day forecast for your city.
  4. Replace the high and low temperatures on the spreadsheet with the high and low temperatures for your city found on www.weather.com.  (As you replace the numbers, the mean temperature for the week should also change.)
  5. Click cell A2, hold the left mouse button, drag the mouse pointer through to cell H4. You have selected the range A2:H4.
  6. Click the "Insert" tab at the top and choose a "Column" chart.
